BY CAR: The Tierra Learning Center is a little less than three hours from Seattle.
From Seattle via Stevens Pass: Travel north on Interstate 405 from Seattle/Bellevue to Bothell where it meets Highway 522 east to Monroe. Head east on Highway 2 for 85 miles over Stevens Pass to the west boundary of Leavenworth. Drive through Leavenworth until the second stoplight where you will see signs for Chumstick Hwy (SR 209). Turn LEFT (north) onto Chumstick Hwy and follow for 5 miles. After the 5-mile marker take the first LEFT onto Sunitsch Canyon Rd. There is a large sign for Tierra Learning Center on the left. Drive over train tracks to the end of the road, approximately 1.5 miles. Offices are near the entrance and Tierra barn. The road continues past the office building to the Lodge and parking lot.
From Seattle via Interstate 90: Travel east on Interstate 90 past Cle Elum. Take the Wenatchee exit (milepost 85). Go east on State Rt. 970 for 11.9 miles to US 97. Follow Highway 97 north over Blewett Pass for 35 miles to the junction of Highway 2. Turn left and travel west on Highway 2 for 4 miles to Leavenworth. At the second stoplight you will see signs for Chumstick Hwy (SR 209). Turn RIGHT (north) onto Chumstick Hwy for 5 miles. After the 5-mile marker take the first LEFT onto Sunitsch Canyon Rd . There is a large sign for Tierra Learning Center on the left. Drive over train tracks to the end of the road, approximately 1.5 miles. Offices are near the entrance and the Tierra barn. The road continues past the office building to the Lodge and parking lot.
From Bellingham via Stevens Pass: North of Seattle drive south on I-5. Take the ramp at Exit #194 onto US-2 (Highway 2, east). Drive on Highway 2 for roughly 100 miles over Stevens Pass. Drive through Leavenworth until the second stoplight where you will see signs for Chumstick Hwy (SR 209). Turn LEFT (north) Chumstick Hwy for 5 miles. From Spokane via Interstate 90: Travel west on Interstate 90 to the junction of Highway 281 near George. Travel north on hwy 281 to Quincy. Turn left on Hwy 28 and travel west to Wenatchee to Hwy 2. Stay on Hwy 2 headed west to Leavenworth. At the second stoplight in Leavenworth, you will see signs for Chumstick Hwy (SR 209). Turn right onto Chumstick Hwy. Drive just over 5 miles. Turn left at Sunitsch Cyn Rd. There is a large sign for Tierra Learning Center on the left. Drive over train tracks to the end of the road, approximately 1.5 miles. Offices are near the entrance and the Tierra barn. The road continues past the office building to the Lodge and parking lot.
From Portland, Oregon: Tierra is approximately 5 hours from Portland. Take Interstate 84 East from Portland to U.S. Hwy 97 North (near Biggs, OR). Stay on 97 North through Toppenish, Yakima, Ellensburg, and over Blewett Pass to the intersection with U.S. Hwy 2. Turn West (left) and travel 4 miles to Leavenworth. At the second stop light turn right on Chumstick Hwy (SR 209) Follow Chumstick Hwy for 5 miles to Sunitsch Canyon Road. There is a large sign for Tierra Learning Center on the left. Turn left. Drive over train tracks to end of road (approximately 1.5 miles) Offices are near the entrance and the Tierra barn. The road continues past the office building to the Lodge and parking lot.
BY BUS FROM SEATTLE: There is a Northwest Trailways bus that goes from Seattle to Leavenworth. It costs $25 one-way, and $45 round-trip. It departs from the Amtrak station in Seattle at 303 S. Jackson St. There are two buses daily, one departing at 10:10am and arriving in Leavenworth at 1:30pm, and one departing at 4:15pm arriving at 7:15pm. BY AIR: The closest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International. If you are arriving by plane and need to catch to bus to Leavenworth please try and arrange an early morning arrival to ensure you can make the bus departure time.

BY CAR FROM PANGBORN AIRPORT: (45 minutes) From Airport Way or parking lot of main terminal building, turn Left on Grant Road, 3.7 miles to WA 28West. Turn Right (follow signs for Hwy 2/97). Drive 4.3 miles to US2West. Turn Left, follow signs for US2/97 West and Leavenworth (20.4 miles). At second stoplight entering Leavenworth turn Right on Chumstick Highway (SR 209). Follow for 5 miles. After the 5-mile marker take the first LEFT onto Sunitsch Canyon Rd. There is a sign for Tierra Learning Center on the left. Turn left.
