New Entry - Complete

This project had it all in slow motion. After the grandfathered Welcome sign finally rotted out we managed to limp along with creative temp fixes while the woods crew went into barn canyon for big leaf maple horns. That's what we came to think of them; big leaf maples leave abandoned trucks, grey and silvered, branching 20 - 50 feet  from the ground.

After many hands-on head-scratching sessions- the final 12 foot piece was split with wedges following radial cracks and buffed out. We gave the sign honest concrete piers this time and the metal bases were fabricated in the shop.

Two final plunge cuts with the posts in place for the metal cross beam... Only seven months in the making!
