We’re able to offer a unique retreat experience by asking you, our guests, to participate in the stewardship of Sunitsch Canyon by conserving resources, caring for the facilities during the stay and hosting your own event. Not only does this create a positive, engaged setting, it helps us offer quality and beauty for a reasonable price.
How it Works
Tierra Retreat Center can sleep up to 80 people in our guests suites with additional bunk rooms and camping opportunities. The main lodge can seat 120 – more outside; groups can contact one of our preferred caterers, or their own, to work in our fully equipped commercial kitchen. We provide the essentials – you create the event. The facility rental is all inclusive for a set price, two-night minimum. Tierra Learning Center provides a variety of meeting space options to accommodate your group’s unique style and needs.

Other Arrangements
We’re pleased to offer discounted rates for non-profit and educational organizations. Longer seminar programs (4-26 night rentals) also receive reduced prices. During our shoulder seasons we may be able to offer daily, single family, or lodge-only rentals. We’ve hosted many successful 3-4 day wedding events and welcome inquiries.
Main Lodge
Lodge facilities include tables, chairs, dishware, 3 conference and meeting rooms, secluded library, an additional great room with fireplace, a facilitator office with computer and internet, along with wireless internet access in lodge. There’s a full commercial kitchen for unlimited culinary creations. Screens, projectors and whiteboards are also available.

Other Highlights
Lavender labyrinth, 30’ meditative yurt, hot tub, bikes, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoes, recreation meadows and an incredible trail system all await your exploration. You are also invited to get to know the larger Tierra Learning Center community of enterprises.
