Tierra Retreat Center sits in Sunitsch Canyon at the eastern base of one of the North Central Cascade’s major passes, accessible by state highway, train, bus and, yes, long distance hiking trails. We’re about 2-1/2 hours from Seattle, 45 minutes from Wenatchee and just 5 miles from our beloved Bavarian-themed hometown, Leavenworth WA.

Orient Yourself
If you're coming to Tierra, please take a moment to orient yourself with our For Your Stay document. This will provide you with a further orientation to our amenities and expectations for guests. A Google Map will give you the basics on getting from there to here.

Getting Here
Pangborn airport in Wenatchee, about 50 minutes by car, has three daily flights from Seattle- Tacoma International, which is 2-1/2 hours by car. The winter season may offer major mountain pass disruptions.
Leavenworth also has daily Amtrak train and Trailways bus service.
Link Transit offers fairly comprehensive local bus services.

Upon Arrival
After turning onto Sunitsch Canyon Rd and crossing the railroad tracks you’ve reached the end (beginning) of your journey. Please drive slow. After driving along the hay-fields and orchard, you’ll come to a turn off for the retreat center campus cutting through the garden and continuing further up canyon. In season, please use this road and continue to the signed guest parking area. Your group facilitator will be set up to check you in at the main lodge. You can find our main offices and center of our Learning Center Campus back below by the big Red Barn. interactiveMAP
